The Jeremy November Report

Sorry, JC fans, no new pictures. We haven't been doing anything particularly interesting lately. Jeremy's teachers have complained that he didn't attend circle times, and they can't discipline him because:
1) He's too cute, he looks at them innocently.
2) He actually enjoys "time out" (which they send the kid to the library corner)
3) They don't want other kids to "discriminate" him if they see the teachers discipline him in front of others

All of these are new to me, whom growing up from China, self esteem is to be trampled and group conformance is to be promoted. What's the use of teachers if they can't discipline. Americans. And so, Rick has taken the initiative to do circle time with Jeremy at home, and threatens him that if he doesn't attend circle time, daddy will vaccum around him. It seems to WORK! The teachers said he showed great improvements and attended circle times. BUT, he usually faces the children instead of the teacher, asks a lot of questions during story times, and not paying attention if he's bored. Well, I am happy with the improvements already, can't expect too much from a 3 year old, right?

In the car a couple weeks ago:
Jeremy: Where's Bears picnic, Ma? (one of his library books)
Mom: Jeremy, is Bears Picnic Mommy's book?
Jeremy: NOoooo
Mom: Is Bears Picnic Jeremy's book?
Jeremy: Yes
Mom: Then it is Jeremy's responsibility to take care of Jeremy's book
Jeremy: Hmm, Mommy may have borrowed it...

Mom and Dad dumbfounded. Mommy has been trying to teach him to take care of his toys and books for weeks now so that he doesn't ask Mommy where they are all the time. A couple weeks ago, he thought "Responsibility" was to get his toys, and he would say, "no share with responbi". Now, he figured it out, started to dodge bullets and said Mommy may have borrowed his toys..WOW.

This kid shows great potential to be a manager! First using the word "responsibility" often, then connect the problem to the trouble-maker! Is that taking after his Mom or Dad? :D
