April 2013- potty training success

April continues to be busy month for the Franciscos.  Sara started pre-school in a bi-lingual international school, we struggled with her potty training to get her ready, but with no success! Even with chocolate bunnies as motivation!  Out of our surprise, she was trained by the pre-school teachers in 2 weeks after she started school, kudos to the teachers! We should have left the difficult tasks like potty training to the professionals!

I just checked our old blog post in April 2008, Jeremy was potty trained EXACTLY the same time! My goodness, what a co-incidence, both of these kids were trained 3 years and 2 months, and both didn't like the praise and reward system. They must be siblings!

We also started hanging out with some new friends. Jeremy's karate is getting stronger and better, he also is enjoying Los Altos Christian school, just went thru the standardized test with a breeze.

Jeremy is now officially an Orange Belt! and some baseball pictures

Jeremy passed his exam yesterday, he's been practicing for weeks, and now his form is good, he is punching with purpose. We are so proud of him. Hopefully, he can be a black belt by 15.

She's turning 3!

We couldn't believe Sara is now 3, we celebrated with Zoe who is 16 days older to have a combo birthday party, also bought some cup cakes to her day care, then on the day of her birthday she gets to have cake and open present again.  Big girl now.

Chinese New Year 2013

Chinese new year celebration for the year of Snake, Mom was thinking about getting Jeremy-labor to help with making dumplings, but the boy was not interested. The little one was very into making these little dumplings, she's very crafty and can draw people faces now.

January 2013 - 2 birthdays

Mom' big 40th spent in Sonoma, spa was good.  Jeremy requested to spend his big 8th in Tahoe to have his first snow adventure, the boy was ecstatic! Rick and Jeremy also visited cousins and aunt in Sacramento.  Unfortunately, Mom was sick with a bad cold and had to stay home with Sara, eventually passing the cold to her, and everyone was sick for 2 weeks. What a way to start the new year!
