Hi, All,
I am back with Jeremy from our 15 days adventure in New York. All in all, it was good. It is the first time that I actually was alone with Jeremy for such a long time. Of course, Rick enjoyed his freedom for about 2 days, then he started to complain about being lonely and the house being too empty, so he called every day at least twice a day to talk to the nut. how sweet that we are missed! :o)
Well, it started out that the trip to NYC was hard, as the kid was running around the airport touching everything in sight, got bumped in the head, spilled juice all over the floor and table, didn't sleep the entire time on the plane, and pooped in his pants. The image of me running behind him sweating was very haunting. But, once we got to Brooklyn, and settled down, he's better. But he regressed his toilet training(which we took out a week to do), pooped his pants for the entire duration we were there, refused to sleep until 11:30pm every night, but he liked playing with his cousin, and my parents were very happy to see him. Popo especially loves him so much, she took him out to the playground twice a day and tried to teach him to ride a bike. He also picked up quite a few cantonese phases.
On the way back, he's more behaved even though our flight was cancelled and we had to stay in line for 2+ hours to get rebooked 6 hours later. So we boomeranged home, and set out again a couple hours later, luckily there was a escalator walk way in front of the gate, which Mommy and Jeremy got on and around 10+ times until we had to board. Traveling with kid these days are super tough, as our plane was #35 in the take off queue, where they would not serve you anything to drink or eat, we sat there for an hour. Finally, the nut fell aslept for 2 hours, that was great. The DVD player was a godsent, and lots of new books and toys did the trick for the next 4 hours. We were so happy to be home.
I have finally gotten back to the routine of home life again. The job is another long story, but I am still working for now. I was getting all these crap from my boss, but she gave me a very good raise. very perplexed.
We took Jeremy to the city yesterday for the tall ship exhibit in SF bay, his first time to ride the Caltrain, he was super excited. I am sure Rick will post the video soon.
Other updates are Jeremy starts his new preschool Aug 20th. Daddy's birthday coming up next week, which we have rented a vacation house on Bodega bay. We are looking forward to lots of great eats and relaxing weekend with JP and Randy.
