Easter Egg Hunting

We were all invited to our friend's child's 3rd birthday party / Easter Egg hunt today. They got ambitious - they have a 3 year old and a 3 month (thereabouts) old and they invited what seemed like 30 children over, none over the age of 3. To my and Pam's amazement, though, every single little child was on great behavior. Everyone seemed to be sharing, no screaming or fighting, in fact all very considerate of each other. Why do Pam and I remember childhood being more rough-housing and pushing around? We both made the same observation today. I thought it was going to be a madhouse, but these little toddlers act more adult than we do! Anyway, Jeremy had no interest whatsoever in the egg hunt. In fact, when all the other kids were scrambling for eggs, he walked right back to the slides and tricycles so he could have them all to himself for a few minutes.
