You know you're spoiled by the climate when you wake up and there's a few clouds blocking the sun from coming into our bedroom (as it does every morning) and you're irritated by the bad weather. It was sunny, just not sunny enough! Anyway, today was another perfect day in Northern California. The first time I lived here I actually did get used to it and it became no big deal after the first year. Now that I've lived in the Northeast for a winter and summer, I appreciate it more than ever. Especially seeing that the ENTIRE state of Connecticut is under a flood warning for this entire weekend and their forecast calls for rain from Saturday through next Friday. As for us, according to Weather.com, the precip chance for the next 5 days is 0%. Anyway, we were able to sleep in a little today - meaning we were up at 6:45AM instead of 5:45AM. Maybe JC is beginning to know what weekends are. I hope that's true! Didn't do too much today - had lunch in Sunnyvale then made another dinner outdoors and ate on our patio. We had a visiting friend from Michigan to our house last night and were able to enjoy a few beers in the cool night air. Tomorrow is another planned cookout as the same friend is coming over for dinner along with a few other invited guests. Another relaxing weekend in Mountain View.
JC is doing fine. We're back to our Popo-less routine. He has become quite easy to handle, although he's now at the start of the age where if we don't hand him everything he wants he starts throwing tantrums. Yesterday at dinner it was the knife, salt and pepper shakers, and soy sauce bottle that caused him his greatest trauma. Other than that though, things couldn't be better. He's very social, he responds to several phrases in Cantonese and English and is fully adjusted to daycare. Looking forward to his first comprehensible sentence.

The flood warnings in CT will seem like nothing when CA falls into the ocean after the inevitable earthquake. :)
We still have maybe 200 years before that happens, and you get to enjoy your rain and humidity every summer!
