Japanese Friendship Garden
This has been a rough week. JC was sick again with an eye, ear and throat infection. He went to school on Monday and has missed ever since. That means both Pam and I missed a whole lot of hours this week. She would go into work for mornings while I stayed with JC and then I'd go in the afternoons while she watched him. It was very tiring. Twice this week he had fevers of 103 (relax - infants have a much higher tolerance for higher fevers). We took him to the doctor on Wednesday and he was given an antibiotic. Finally on Friday AM he started showing signs of getting healthy again. It's slow, but the difference is obvious. Today (Saturday), he continued his slow progress to health and we were able to go visit the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose. It's a very nice garden as you will see from these pictures. JC was pretty happy while we were there but still goes back and forth between happy and very, very cranky (which is not normal). Usually he is very happy and content happy. I think we know how he feels though, as he has definitely passed the virus to both of us. We both feel miserable today. The positive thing from this week, is the time I spent with him in the mornings has given me a trick to put him to nap pretty quickly. It's now easy for me to put him to sleep. Some positives out of it.
