Guess who's adjusting??

At least for today. When I called the daycare center today at around 3PM, I was excitedly told that JC was laughing and smiling for a good part of the day, took a 1 hour nap (which isn't enough for him, but it's been better than no nap at all), and was eating well (which he's been doing a lot of lately - must be a growth spurt). Those kinds of phone calls sure does calm mommy and daddy's nerves a lot more than - "He's kind of fussy and won't sleep". Don't know if this will keep up, but this past weekend we saw JC in the same way - laughing, smiling, crawling all around. He even took a few steps towards me only holding 1 hand on Sunday which he has not done before. Maybe this is all for the better, although it's been very difficult. I pray that this keeps up and only gets easier.

Easter weekend was nice - these pictures were from Saturday. Sunday was the 8AM church service, then off to breakfast where JC picked out his own Easter egg from a huge basket and then off to the local park with just daddy for some daddy - son bonding. We then also tried to buy him some more infant Dimetapp for his cold symptoms but were told that it is illegal in the state of California to purchase more than one bottle per month!!! And they enforced it. According to Ronnie (my sister pharmacist for those of you reading that don't know), lots of people have been separating out the pseudophedrine to make methamphetamine. If I could do that, I'd make JC my own formula of Dimetapp. Pretty ridiculous.

I guess that's all for now. Till next time...
