Los Angeles
Just got back from our short weekend drive to Los Angeles. I love going every time I go, but the traffic is one colossal pain. Round the clock bumper to bumper on almost every freeway you drive on. Insane! We were able to do a half day's worth of sight seeing, but it's LA, there's not a whole hell of a lot to see anyway. It is kind of cool, however, driving from our hotel to Hollywood Blvd to pass by the famous streets - you forget how many. Melrose Ave, Sunset Blvd, Santa Monica Blvd, Rodeo Drive. Also passed by the original House of Blues and the Comedy Store. Last time I was here, also passed CBGB's (did they close that?). Weather sucked. The test went fine - uneventful. It was more enjoyable taking the long road trip overnight with Jeremy. I still like road trips every once in a while. Pack the car with CD's, snacks, drinks, and drive in the wee hours leaving crumbs all over the seats and carpet. Only this time, it's not a 72 Dodge Dart with cassette and a AAA triptik - it's a leather laden Grand Cherokee with a talking GPS and a 10 CD changer. My how times have changed.
