Another good weekend in the country!

Rick complains about the New England quite a bit, but there are actually some good things about New England other than the chowder. Well, the chowder is very nice too. We had a lobster festival here in Canton, been going on for the past 25 years, and this year, it is special, 'cos JC gets to go to it for the first time! Yeh, his friend Jack has joined us as well with stylishly gelled hair. We had such a good time that we were all too busy eating lobsters we forgot to take pictures. :o(

Ok, I have been planting a vege garden this year, and have forced, threatened, bribed, guilted Rick to water my plants all summer long. heeheheheh...but now, we are finally harvesting cherry tomatoes in my flower pots, and long Chinese beans, soon, there will be little pumpkins and squash, and of course, hundreds and hundreds of tomatoes...yum yum...

Here are the pictures of our garden fresh omelet and our French toasts with fresh peach compote, the tomatoes tasted so delicate and sweet, the toasts had just the right balance of crunchiness and softness, the sweet peaches perfectly softened and harmonized with hints of orange and local wild flower honey. County breakfast at its best! Consider coming for a visit? Open invitation with babysitting obligation! HA!

Deb, cooking is my escape, so I just thrust the baby to Rick and bury my head in the kitchen! - Pam
